The holidays arrive every year with sparkle, tradition, and a very full calendar. Between gatherings, gift lists, travel, and expectations (both spoken and unspoken), it can be easy to move through the season on autopilot. My hope for you this Christmas is simple: that you find moments to slow down, soften, and truly savor what matters most.
Time with family and friends doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. Some of the best memories are made in the quiet in-between moments—the shared laughter in the kitchen, the stories that resurface year after year, the comfort of familiar faces and chosen family. Allow yourself to be present, even if everything isn’t picture-perfect. Connection doesn’t require perfection; it just requires showing up.
At the same time, this season is also an important reminder that you are part of the celebration. Self-care isn’t selfish, indulgent, or something that only happens after everyone else is taken care of. It’s what allows you to enjoy the holidays with more energy, patience, and joy.
Self-care can be wonderfully simple. It might look like carving out ten quiet minutes in the morning with a warm drink before the day begins. It could be a long shower with your favorite scent, a short walk to clear your head, or saying “no” to one extra obligation so you can say “yes” to rest. Sometimes self-care is putting your phone down earlier, going to bed on time, or letting yourself take a break without guilt.
It can also mean reconnecting with your body—stretching, slowing your breath, or doing something that helps you feel grounded and comfortable in your own skin. For some, it’s journaling or reading. For others, it’s music, movement, or simply sitting quietly by the tree with the lights on and nothing else demanded of you.
However you celebrate, and whatever this season looks like for you—full and bustling or calm and low-key—please know how grateful I am for you. Thank you for being part of this community, for trusting me, and for allowing me to be part of your journey.
Wishing you a holiday season filled with warmth, connection, rest, and moments just for you. May the coming year bring you health, confidence, and plenty of reasons to smile.
With heartfelt thanks and holiday wishes,
Trish
